Things to Consider

1. I talk about how the apartment is stuck in the Seventies and how the decoration is sparse and army-surplus. I think it will be easy to imagine this apartment when my narrative is read.
2. My stories all come from events where the experience is pretty much unique to myself and those who were present in the stories. The reader is required to trust my authority to enjoy the story.
3. In all honesty I'm not entirely sure if my direction is very unique. I think my stories are relatively weak, or I'm not telling them in a more enjoyable manner. I'm considering changing topics.
4. Right now my audience is mostly for other college students and interested parties. So pretty much a universal audience. I do use a disclaimer due to language and content. If I change my direction the audience will most likely those with an interest in my experiences (other college students) and those with even a passing interest in the Middle East.
5. In both possible directions I assume my readers are open-minded and thrill seekers. In my original example I use drugs as a vehicle to discuss the importance of a table in my life. In my tentative example I will be reminiscing on my travels in Amman, Jordan and some experiences there.
