S-Town and Ysrael

Brian Reed is the host and creator of S-Town, a radio show produced by NPR. John B. McLemore is a horologist and a resident of the eponymous S-Town, or Woodstock, Alabama. Brian visits McLemore in Woodstock after receiving an email detailing a murder that McLemore alleged happened in his town. I think its strange for a man who works so intimately with clocks has a hard time with his own time frame. He doesn't have a clear idea how old he is. However, McLemore deftly weaves Brian Reed and the listeners through these events and through a minute time frame where every event matters. I would like to finish this podcast because I am sure that time will remain a theme throughout.

Ysrael

Ysrael is a man who had his face bitten off by a pig when he was a child and is famous for being a sort of pariah to the people of Ocoa as well as a person of grotesque interest. Yunior and Rafa are in the campo because their mother, who they live with in the Capital of Santo Domingo and works often, cannot take care of them during the summer off school. Rafa is Yunior's older brother and barely recognizes him while in the Capital. However during the summers in the campo Rafa actually treats Yunior like his brother and enjoy spending time with one another.
